Skating three days in a row.

Cross country skiing.

Sliding.

Walking up Prospect hill.

Are we getting more exercise here in St. John’s because of the shape and the condensed nature of the city?

Ironically, it’s much colder here than Vancouver, and Vancouver is the hardcore everybody-gets-outside-and-moves kind of city, but we’re doing winter activities here much more than we did in Vancouver. It’s probably because we don’t have to cross the Iron Workers Bridge and get up a mountain to get to snow. Here, we have piles of snow right on our doorstep.

Buuuuut…most likely it’s that my parents have been here for ten days and we don’t have to drag all three kids around everywhere we go. Yes, that’s probably it.

We’ll see how we do once they’re gone.
